AIRBRUSHING TECHNIQUES FOR APPLYING MAKE-UP FOR FILM & TV.
Dates: Sat. 7th.. and Sun.8th. Nov 2009
This is a two-day course for Make-up Artists working in the Film Industry who wish to up-date their skills in using airbrushing techniques. Airbrushing is a fast, highly efficient and hygienic way of applying make-up not only for straight glamour make-up, but also in applying body make-up, tanning, special effects (bruising, sunburn) body painting, tattoos, and hair art. The course will include an introduction to different types of compressors, how to adjust to different pressures, how to assemble and dissemble and clean the airbrushes. Also an introduction to different types of make-up and how conventional make-up can be thinned to be applied through an airbrush There will be an introduction by a lighting cameraman on the standards required on Film, and opportunity to view your work on camera. All aspects of health and safety will be covered.

STYLING & DRESSING LADIES LONG HAIR IN PERIOD STYLES

This is a two-day course for Make/up Hair Artists working in The Film Industry who need to update their skills in Styling and Dressing Ladies Long Hair in Period Styles. This course will cover.
Wet setting hair in finger waves.
Wet setting using pin curls and rollers.
Styling hair using heated appliances.
Dressing hair in different period styles, attaching hairpieces to achieve the appropriate styles.
Different Types of braiding.

50% of travel costs, plus £60 per night accommodation, will be reimbursed on production of a receipt for those who live 50 miles distance from the place the course is being held. There are also monies set aside to help with childcare
